It should be known that amongst the bodily remedies one remedy is sleep. Allah taala has mentioned in the Quran , and it means that The night has been ordained for you so that you may sleep and the tiredness of the day can be removed.(So that you may stay healthy and can spend time in prayer to Allah)
BENEFITS: Hakeem Jalainaus has mentioned that whoever wants to digest food, he should get some sleep but caution should be exercised that sleep should be in moderation because excess sleep causes the person to become weak and lazy.Such a person will be raised alongwith the paupers on the day of judgement.
The scholars have mentioned that there is 4 times during which a person should not sleep
The prophet Muhammad ﷺ prohibited Hazrat Usman رضوان اللہ اجمعین from staying awake all night and said that there is a right of your Nafs on yourself as well , it is not good to sleep all night and also not good to stay awake all night , rather you should awake and get up before morning because sleeping all night causes the devil to come and urinate in the ear and leave.
PROTECTION FROM 4 EVILS:
Hazrat Shaikh Muhammad Ali Al Sabooni, a teacher of Makkah Mukarama has quoted this Haidth shareef in his tafseer of the 30th para that
The prophet has said that whoever recites this morning and evening three times, Allah will keep him in his protection. Also he will be protected from 4 diseases
The prophet ﷺ mentioned that
“Indeed Allah opens his hands at night for the sinner of the day to repent and He opens his hands in the morning that the sinner of the day should repent and He will keep on doing that until the sun rises from the West”. (Hadith reference” MUSLIM, HAKIM AN ANI MOOSA LA SHURAA)
And whoever has a need, he should do Wudu (ablution) properly and then offer two rakat prayer, and after that he should pray as below”
